ARKAYA

A recording artist, sound healer and holistic voice coach, Arkaya’s philosophy is simple - she believes that our voice is the most powerful instrument on our planet, yet most of us are never given the tools to tap into that power.

She provides an inclusively spiritual yet scientific approach to learning about the voice and how to harness it in life changing ways.

Arkaya founded Voice Codes in 2023 in response to growing demand from her community. As she re-launched her music after a three-year hiatus, it was clear something had profoundly shifted—her voice had expanded and transformed. Inspired by their curiosity and desire to learn, she began sharing her unique methodology and approach to voice work.

Along with coaching and courses, Arkaya shares her immersive experiences at retreats, festivals and summits all over North America.

The mission behind The Voice Codes is to empower the next generation of singers, healers and conscious change-makers to activate their voices as a transformative tool for healing—cultivating inner balance while empowering authentic, impactful expression.

As you step into exploring the power of your own sound, your voice becomes a powerful tool for transformation and connection.

Our work blends vocal training and science-backed methodologies of sound healing with ancient metaphysical systems, creating a holistic experience that is both profound and accessible.

I definitely didn't get here overnight though.

In fact, quite the opposite...

I always knew I was meant to use my voice—to sing, to tell stories, and to help others. From a young age, I was naturally pretty good, and my parents enrolled me in classical vocal training and musical theatre where I honed my technical skills.

But no matter how much I practiced, I was terrified to truly let myself be heard. When the moment came to open my voice, anxiety would rise in my stomach, causing me to shake uncontrollably.

This fear didn’t just show up in my music—it reflected in all areas of my life...

I struggled to express myself, waited for things to happen rather than taking charge, and felt guilty for taking up space or time. I feared embarrassment if others didn’t like what I was doing.

I felt completely disconnected from who I truly was. The rules and standards imposed by traditional institutions were suffocating, constantly forcing me to see myself through a lens that dimmed my light instead of allowing it to shine. I wasn't being taught how to access the full range of my expression or to share the depths of my own experiences—though I knew in my heart that’s exactly what music was meant to be.

Needless to say, my music stagnated. As the years passed, I fell into depression. Desperate for energy or courage, I turned to alcohol to break through my funk or to muster the confidence to get on stage. I felt deeply unhappy, knowing I had something to share with the world but was unable to embody myself boldly or bravely.

It felt like I was throwing myself against a wall again and again, wondering why I couldn’t break through.

One pivotal night, after heavy drinking in the studio, I found myself sitting on the kitchen floor with my roommate and bandmate. Feeling the gut-churning effects of a hangover, I floated a question: “What if we tried a sober jam next week?”

Her response shook me to my core: “I don’t think we can make anything good without it.”

Her words reflected my deepest fear—that I couldn’t create, express, or succeed without relying on something outside of myself. In that moment, I knew that if I continued drowning my inner voice instead of listening to it—if I continued numbing my truth—I would remain stuck in this cycle, hating myself and doubting my ability to share my gifts with the world.

So I made a choice...

I left everything behind—my friends, my work, my music—and embarked on a three-year journey to heal.

On this path, I dove deep, exploring both ancient spiritual traditions and modern therapeutic practices that taught me how to use my voice as a tool for healing. Along the way, I rediscovered the joy I had as a child, singing purely for myself.

I learned to love myself by exploring the full range of my vocal expression, removing the constraints of trying to sound “good” for others. And through this process, I found my true, unique voice.

Most importantly, I discovered my purpose: to bring voice and music as medicine into the world—to help others step into their power and harness their voice for healing.

And now, I share everything I have learned with you.

I help you discover and harness your voice as a tool for healing.

Together, we experience singing that empowers your soul—singing that deepens your relationship with yourself and teaches you to become your own healer.

Whether it’s overcoming mental or emotional blocks, expanding your vocal skill and techniques or finding the courage to be seen and heard, I’m here to guide you.

Your voice holds incredible power—let’s unlock it.
